Wow, I feel so horrible. It's been ages since I've been here *looks at message centre items list and sudders* It's been a rough semester for so many reasons and for so many reasons I haven't been getting much art done, just a few random snippets here and there in 's journal. I'll try to scan them in and upload them when I get the chance. I've actually been on www.otakubooty.com far more than I should be. *lol*
What else? Well, I got my car, had it for a couple months, then crashed it over Spring Break. Go me. Actually, it hydroplaned in the rain, but still, that wound is still festering in me.
Mm... I really have been wanting to get some art done with big, messy, smelly, goopy oil paints which I conveniently left at my parent's house. Not that it matters, I can't really paint in my apartment anyway - not with oil. Too smelly and too small of an apartment and I have next to zero artistic concentration in here anyway. I can't wait to move out at the end of May. But to where? I don't know yet. What I do know is that I want this semester to be OVER ALREADY! Arrrrrgh!

Kill me, kill me now. Wait, school is doing that for me. YAY! I'm excited. Actually stressed out of my mind more like it. And I still have NO CAR! What the hell is going on? I need wheels, dammit. *sigh* Let's not open that can of worms. It's just been one loooooong week/month/something-or-other. Is school over yet? Not bloody likely. I've had no time to do any fun art. Well, rather -finish- any fun art. Started doing a black and white drawing of Ryuichi from Luna Sea and one of my friends is forcing me to draw in his sketchbook. Blah. So when I finish that I'll try to scan it in. That's all for the art front.... How depressing...

Well, I got the move done and am sort of settled in at my new apartment. My roommates are nice enough and I think we'll manage. But it's been a rough first week here as the second day I was here I went with my roommates to the beach and got a vicious sunburn on my leg. Later on my ankle was hurting and I had to have a doc check it out to tell me that I got second degree burns on my ankle and I had to prop it up with ice and stay put for the first week here. Yeah, that was not a very good week.
Now I am healing and can walk around finally - yesterday I could take off my ace bandage and walk ok so it looks like after almost two weeks I am finally healing. Yay. And school has started as well so I have that to (sort of) look forward to which will eat up a lot of time.
But the worst news.... No dollfies! I took NO dollfies with me when I moved as I didn't want anything to happen to them. It was depressing beyond words. ;_; So now I am without a dig. cam. and without my gorgeous babes so I'm not sure how much art I'll be putting up unless I find a pic on my hard drive that I like enough to play with. We'll see. As it is I'll have to manage my time with all the school work I'll be doing. Arrrgh. Blah. This sucks. I'd rather be at home playing dolls and taking pictures. I don't know if that's a bad thing to type or not. Ahhhh weeell....

Let me see here. said Otakon was quite a disappointment from her Anime Expo experience and L'Arc~en~Ciel live was a big bummer as they didn't even seem like they wanted to be there... So... I guess it's good for me that I didn't go and spend the cash for a ticket.

I am now, instead, spending lots o' money looking for household items that I might need to get for when I move. What would be a good idea for me to get? Let me first say that this is my first time moving out of my parents place and that I am moving into a tiny apartment and am renting out
-only- my room (the other room will be rented out by two other people whom I don't know yet - I don't think it has been decided on whom I am rooming with yet). It's one of those collegey-apartment places where you only pay for your room and utilities that way if one roommate bails you don't need to pay any extra. The bad part about that is that renting out a WHOLE room and not half a room is quite expensive. Let me say that again QUITE EXPENSIVE. Yeah, oh, and the apartment -may- come furnished with the bare necessities like a bed, desk, couch, etc. With all that said, any suggestions? I need to figure out the bare necessities I'll be needing to set up 'house'.
Just sort of flung this out here randomly to see if anyone would have any ideas.... *lol*

It been a good - and bad - week.

I now have an apartment to move into and a fall class schedule. I suppose that is the good news. The really depressingly horridly bad news is that due to said good news I now cannot make it to Otakon! You don't know how depressing this is to me. I can get the cash up for the plane ticket (remember all that I live in Cali so Maryland is a wee bit far away) BUT I cannot replace the lost time in going to Otakon. My imouto will be there with the Animerica booth and if I went I could have theoretically had a chance to get a press pass which would have gotten me closer to L'Arc~en~Ciel. ;_; Gods! This sucks! If only the con came one week earlier, a couple weeks later, but no. I am screwed in that regard. I have too much stuff to do with my apartment and cleaning out my room (nightmare!), and driving around places and... and... and....
